Teyla: Nothing, nothing....

She paused.

Teyla: You know... those two will probably go after Soap next I'm guessing, and they probably can get her to sign... that isn't good.

Kawa nodded in agreement before Teyla could finish her sentence.

"You're absolutely right. I feel the same way about it myself."

He struck a dramatic pose. "There's no time to waste on formalities", Kawa announced as he hit a button that appeared out of nowhere. Within moments, Soap was teleported from wherever she was before to the very same room.

Soap: ......

She was meditating. Feeling her surroundings change, she opened an eye, and looked at Teyla and Kawa.

Soap: Huh? What happen?

"Sorry to pull you here just like that but there's a couple demons runnin' 'round trying to fuck you up by offering your deepest desires 'n such" Kawa rattled off as he circled around Soap, gesturing wildly. "Teyla here didn't really think you would be wise enough to say 'no', and I agree out of precaution."

He stopped walking and looked directly at Soap. "I'm sure you can understand the motive here, right? Sorry for interrupting your meditation btw."

Soap: Soap plenty smart enough to say no

Teyla: Not when they might offer you me.

Soap: .... Good point.

She continued meditating.

"And on a completely different topic", Kawa suddenly chirped, "I think it's high time to check on our patient!"

He trotted off towards the not further described room where he had Bob in treatment. It was going pretty well. In the past month, he had gotten Bob back into physical and mental shape (or at least passably so) and collected some more killer bees to experiment on. Several of these were equally non-mutated now. Pressing another randomly appearing button, Kawa recorded a log entry. For some reason, possibly security, he spoke in a language none of the other people in the Homeship knew, quite possibly made up on the spot.

"Medical study log, day 29. The patient has made considerable progress..."

He paused to check on Bob. Finding no signs of reversion, he continued speaking.

"...and seems well underway to a complete recovery. The serum I've been working on appears to be working just fine. One more test should be enough to iron out the last problem..."

With that, he took a spray can full of antidote and walked towards a small cylindrical forcefield that held the remaining killer bees. Minding the bees' location and movement, he jabbed the spray can through the forcefield and hit the button on the nozzle, filling the inside of the forcefield with a fine red mist, then retracted his hand before the bees would catch him. As the gas cleared up, the bees had become almost normal, like the few behind another, similar force field.

"...Mission complete?"

Bel: No. We need to find Elizabeth and eliminate her. I don't know what she's doing but she can't be as effective without whatever she took when she teleported away. Huge concentration of magical energy. Like a flare in a pitch-black room.

So, anyone have any ideas how we can trace her?

Elizabeth sat inside a dank, empty cave, slowly unwrapping her bandages. Starting at her torso, she opened up her other four arms, and the rest of the bandages quickly fell off. Her bandages around her shoulder and head stayed tightly wrapped.

After being alive for several millennia her magic had decayed her body, where there were holes through her body, or simply through her skin, you could see her bright green flesh, contrasting with the purple tone of her skin. She lay the bandages in her hands in a pile in front of her, and took a matchbook out of a pocket in her shoulder, she lit the purple and green match, and it gave off a curious black flame. She set her bandages aflame and waited.

The flame began to spread through the ground in the cave, and envelop it in the black flame. In a few moments, the cave had been turned into a magnificent obsidian castle, the stone glowing in the setting sun behind it. Out from the lowest gates of the castle, which was now a visible black speck on the north of the main continent from space, poured out armies and armies of living dead. The massive seas of zombies spread out and around, through the forests and over the hills and various mountains, heading for one central location.

On the other side of the continent, the other Elizabeth rode her chariot of fire into a large and elaborate castle. Darting around the mazes, she eventually reached a small red altar, atop which sat a golden bowl, which had a pile of soaking wet cloth in it. She lit it aflame and almost instantly the castle set aflame. The large, labyrinthine castle's flames died away a bit, leaving most of the inside aflame, but with only the tops of the keeps left aflame, and many watchtowers of flame were dotted around the landscape.

Out from the nethermost regions of this castle were many different kind of flame demons and beings, all of them pouring out from the red speck on the south side of the continent. These beasts, too were flowing towards one central location.

The top heir jolted upright in her bed.

She sped out of the large, pristine chapel in the center of the crater. It is the largest known structure of diamond, created when her great-great-great grandmother had burned cloth in an altar that now rests at the center of the chapel, containing in it now a scalpel.

She felt energies converging on this one spot.

Shadow demons from the north.

Fire demons from the south.

She screamed a loud, deafening scream through the aether, a scream that could be heard by any being telepathic or not.

It was a cry for help.

A light shone on the top of the pristine castle, the bright white light was able to be seen from space, a beacon for anyone who may be able to help.

As soon as Bel had finished asking about a way to trace Elizabeth, his mind was overwhelmed by a loud scream, holding both of his hands on the sides of his head as a result.

Bel: Nnngh! My head! Ugh, what was that? Walking over to a window to lean his head against it, he notices the beacon of light coming from the ground far below. With his head still ringing, he notified the others.

Bel: L-like I said, we're not done here. Take a look at that light down there.

Shoving Bel aside, Kawa looked out the same window.

"Gee, that's a pretty damn bright light to be visible from orbit like that", Kawa said in that same made-up-on-the-spot language. Noticing this little mistake, he repeated himself in English. Just before he got to "that" though, he collapsed to the floor in apparent pain.

It took a few moments to regain his senses.

"Holy shit that hurt!" he exclaimed as he crawled back up. "Hooookay, I've just about had it with this mission. We've been here for more than a month, this world has been on the verge of annihilation multiple times and all we got is two lost party members, some medical experience..." The anger in his speech noticably rose. "...and a sword that won't fuckin' tell what's so goddamn special about it and now the world's ending AGAIN!! RAAAAGH!"

Shoving Bel aside once more (but more forcefully), Kawa stomped away to the power vault, where he stored his excess power in the form of those funky white spheres like the one that brought them to this godsforsaken crapsack world.

"I have had enough of this", Kawa bellowed as he opened the vault door (a very arduous task for a lesser man, but still very hard for him to do), snatched away three power orbs and stomped away to the balcony.

The balcony, for the record, was outside of the mansion and utterly exposed to space. And the Homeship itself was in medium orbit...

Since Bel needed air to breathe and wasn't following Kawa to the balcony, he contacted him using telepathy instead.

Bel (telepathy to Kawa): Wait. Consider what that light might be before throwing those orbs down there. It doesn't seem to be a weapon, right? And I can sense trouble brewing down there. Instead of bombing the whole place, we should go down to check that light out. It seems to be coming from the top heir's place. Please. Build a couple of bombs with those orbs if you want but wait with using them until we know what's going on.

After Belgarion finished talking to Kawa, a strange old man spoke to Kawa on the balcony.

"I'm sure you can hear me loud and clear, even though we're in space. Don't worry, it's only a trick I learned. I hope you know that you blowing up that world will destroy three artifacts important to us. One lays inside your friend Elizabeth, and the other two lay inside others.

One of them is the Lich Queen.

She, too is Elizabeth.

Yes, I know what you're thinking. But it's not that complicated. I think you'll know why in a few hours." The man pointed to the point of light on the continent. "That light is not created by just any magic. It is created by a powerful magic stone, one the goes inside the sword you picked up from Elizabeth. This one is inside the Top Heir.

You can let her die, and take the stone from her body, thus making it impure. Or you can have her birth the stone, a task far harder.

Or, you can just save her and leave her alone.

Either way I recommend you have some bombs with you. You'll need them. The COSMOS trust the knowledge to you, and you alone. Farewell, traveler." The old man wore a lapel pin on his suit jacket, which had the image of a sphere emerging from a conical cross-section, around which was the word COSMOS. The pin was golden in color, and his tie was of the smae image, except in the color of a ruby.

"What makes you guys think these are bombs?" Kawa replied with a slight hint of surprise. "I just need a whole lotta power to basically freeze the universe within seconds", he corrected with an increasingly manic grin. Before either the COSMOS guy or Bel could react, Kawa absorbed the three power spheres into himself, kicked the COSMOS guy into space and released his magic.

Aside from a small bubble, just large enough to contain the Homeship but too small to include the COSMOS guy, the world started to turn a blueish silver, expanding outward from the protective bubble at breakneck speed. The COSMOS guy demonstrated the effect by seemingly crystallizing as he stopped floating away and locked into place. The planet below followed within seconds, and the wave effect kept going from there in every direction (as far as space has directions). The light from below seemed to freeze as well, which was a very strange thing to see. The burning green aura that surrounded Kawa started to lower in intensity as the effect travelled and picked up speed exponentially.

What would be less obvious to the audience inside the bubble was that the effect was four-dimensional -- it propagated through time as well, in both directions.

After fifteen minutes, the bubble containing the Homeship was the only "live" part in the world, though Kawa stopped watching and lowered his arms after only one, letting the effect continue unattended. Notably, there was almost no green aura surrounding him anymore.

Not expecting Bel (or anyone else for that matter) to be able to form a complete sentence after witnessing this, Kawa went back inside and signalled the Homeship to return to the nexus dimension that contained the Lounge.

He seemed very tired as he took that blasted sword from his shirt and threw it to the floor behind him.

(Hmph. Why did he go and do that for?)

Bel: Was it really that wise to make us look like enemies by kicking him like that? And watch what you're doing with that sword. We could use it to our advantage. I don't know the consequences for destroying it, though.

Also, what exactly did you do to the...uh, planet?

Kawa made his way back to the master bedroom as Bel ranted.

"Stop worrying mage boy", he yawned. "As for the planet... it and every single other thing is in complete temporal stasis." He sounded very, very tired. "Nobody will think anything about us."

He took off his jacket and nestled into the pillow pit that was his bed. "Do me a favor? Tell me when we're back at the Lounge..."

*Splash* Hot water.

Tyler: Yeah sure. You could've just asked me to freeze the universe though. Borderh4x and stuff.

He shrugged.

Tyler: Or I could've even used my imitation Lunar Dial.

He sat down on the ground. Whatever.

Cynthia reappeared from her hiding place.

"I don't really understand it myself, but as far as I can tell, the... story turned against danna. He seemed really angry at it... and to use up three of those power spheres he'd need to be really ticked off."

She turned to look at her mate, sleeping in the pillow pit. He seemed less tired every passing moment.

"Oh", Cynthia noticed. "We're almost home again". Sure enough, the strange dimensional travel effect outside was slowing down, and the Lounge Nexus slowly started to take form again, the Homeship appearing in the sky a small distance above the Lounge building proper.

"I wonder what Sal's doing?"

Within seconds, Bel found himself falling down to the Lounge's front lawn, having been shoved clean out of the Homeship by an unexpected blue, red and yellow blur.

Strangely, the impact was very soft and didn't injure Bel at all. This was ofcourse because the Rule of Funny was not to be used as a weapon.

Cynthia went around to bring the other party members to the hallway for beamdown as Kawa did one last check-up on Bob.

I wonder if Mage Boy realises he wasn't supposed to understand me back then, he thought to himself as he gave Bob a last dose of antidote.
