But it was worth it. Wait, maybe I should back things up.

*ahem*

So yeah, me and my 3 friends decided to ditch school today and go see "300". It was really cool and the graphics were amazing, but it's what happened afterwards that fucke me threw the ass. Were over at the movies and I tell my friends that i'm supposed to be back home at 4pm. They say okay and we start watching the movie. After it's over, we each go home and I get there like at 5pm. I quickly runn over to the Elementary school, since I was supposed to pick up my little brother ans sister. Okay. I get home and my dad calls me:

Dad: "You didn't go to school today, huh?"

Me: "Umm... why do you think that?"

Dad: "I came home today and I saw your friends backpacks in your room"

Me: "Oh....."

Dad: "If your gonna ditch, at least tell me because there can be an emergency and I wouldn't know where to find you."

Me: "Oh, sorry. I'll make sure to tell you next time."

Dad: "Okay, bye."

Ummm... okay? That didn't go so bad. But then this happens:

*gets a phone call*

Me: "Hello?"

???: "Yeah, Carlos?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Luz and Gloria: "Umm, hey, it's Luz and Gloria."

Me: "Oh, hey, so what's up?"

Luz and Gloria: "Yeah, umm, we were walking with Humberto (one of my friends) to my house, when we ran into Jacky (girl from our school)."

Me: "Oh shit..."

Luz and Gloria: "Yup. She told us that Steve (my principal/film teacher) announced during pick me-up (something that our school does every Friday, to announce what we did that week) that we had ditched."

Me: "Are you serious?!! But, how'd he find out?"

Luz and Gloria: "Yup. We don't know. You told Sean (friend) that we were going to ditch, right?"

Me: "Yeah because he was supposedly gonna come. Why? Do you think he might've told someone?"

Luz and Gloria: "I dunno, maybe."

Me: "Man, we are sooo screwed!"

Luz and Gloria: "Uh-huh."

Me: "Yeah, we'll have to wait and see what happens on Monday..."

Luz and Gloria: "Guess so.. okay. Bye then."

Me: "Bye..."

Yup, i'm screwed.

If you didn't understand what happened; here's the break-down: We ditched school, went to the movies, went home, dad calls me, I tell him the truth, friends call, they tell me the whole school know, and now i'm fucked on Monday...

BUT IT WAS SOOO WORTH IT!! 300 WAS AWESOME!!!

Here's some advice:

If you're gonna ditch, find out exactly where there are cameras around your camups, where the supervisors are at that specific time, and whether or not there are people who can inform adults that you're ditching.

The only time I ever ditched school was to buy Diddy Kong Racing DS, and that was because we were watching a movie in History (that was boring). I walked out of the classroom, hopped the fence, and walked a mile down the road to Target. I got DKRDS, walked back to school, and hopped the same fence again. It was lunch time, I had DKRDS, and I never got caught. But it was totally worth it.

Though the whole time I ditched, literally, my heart was beating really fast and the slightest thing scared me.

In all: Don't ditch. Even if something looks tempting (like the movie you saw, and DKRDS for me).

That sucks. I've never skipped school or class because I don't have the guts. I'll probably see 300 soon once I get the time.

Hopefully everything goes well on Monday, I doubt it will be to bad.

I've never ditched school either but I could if I wanted to because I drive to school. I would have done it if I knew Wal-Mart was selling the Wii at 8am which is when school starts. They sold out in 15 minutes. That was barely first period when they sold out.

At least your parents were cool about at. I don't want to know what my parents would do if I they knew I ditched school.

I actually never did it on purpose in elementary school, only when I got sick and stuff.

In upper secondary school, I think it happened now and then... but very rarely. If it happened, it was on classes where it didn't matter much.

For college, I tend to try being at obligatory lectures, labs and exams of course, but some lectures are... not very constructive to be at. And sometimes I just don't feel like being at a lecture (usually because I'm feeling sick or something...), but I only skip them if they're not obligatory.

So what, you ditched? Who cares?

You can miss a few days with no problem (at least, here. You can only miss 11 days before you fail)

you skipped to see a movie which could be any time? jeez, at least skip to watch march madness, considering half the games were during school.

seriously though. ditching shouldn't really get you penalized much, unless you're good friends with the principal or something. people ditch school all the time, it's not like you're the only person who's ever done it before.

With the release of Star Wars Episode I (5th grade I believe), II (8th I believe), and III (sometime in High School), I skipped school with my dad and his old friend to see them in theaters.

I'm going to assume you're in Junior High ... maybe?

Yeah, I skipped nearly once a week during High School, especially during my Senior year. It was joke. Still managed a 3.0~3.5 GPA effortlessly. Though, no argueing it probably would've been higher, my absences definitely took it down a little bit.

College? Yeah, I'm still fairly lazy, but still get good grades.

I remember back in Junior High when I ditched a certain class all the time. History, I think it was. For that period, I'd just go to the bathroom and sit in the stall and play my GameBoy. The school did not approach me, but went and told my parents. I just told them I suck at history and I didn't care about it. They ended up commending me for my honesty (which was as rare as pandas fucking) and took me to the movies.

My dad would have killed me if I skipped school during elementary, middle, or high school. Occasionally I skip class at university if it's something I know I can miss.

I once skipped school to see Star Wars episode 1

I had already seen it, and was not impressed

But my teachers considered it a perfectly valid reason for cutting class

I never skip school. Funny thing is, I always used to do my best to get out of doing homework. I always left certain books I NEEDED to do my homework at my school, and when my parents asked me about it, I'd always tell them I "forgot my books at school". Worked for a little while, but.... Oops, no such luck after a while of that! XD I don't really do that anymore. The only times I say I left my books at the school is when I do so on accident. I don't try to get out of doing homework anymore.... And yes, I DO tend to accidentally forget to bring certain books with me. Hasn't happened in a while, though, because I'm homeschooled right now, because the school I was in last was private school, and my parents just couldn't afford it anymore. Oh well. I dislike school (it's always boring), but I see no reason to get out of classes. I do my work like I should. I stay in class no matter HOW bored I get. ...Doing the work takes my mind off the boredom, anyways, though my mind STILL wanders about...

You are freaking out over 1 day of skipping school? I skipped 75% of the year my freshman year in high school. I have court papers to prove it too. I didn't go so much that I had to go to juvenile court, got put on probation, had to take random drug tests and report to a probation officer like twice a month. I tell you it's not fun trying to pee in front of someone standing behind you watching to see if your trying to fake the test. Long story short, probation sucks balls and so does school.

lolol skipping school YOU'RE SO KOOL

...Seriously, who cares? Kids ditch class all the time, and sometimes they get caught and sometimes they don't. The school knows that you weren't there, your teachers know you weren't there, and you know you weren't there. My school actually calls home to let the parents know.

I personally think ditching is stupid, it should be your first and foremost commitment during the week. Just go to the movies after school or on the weekend.

Sometimes when my last period is study hall, I tend to just ditch and go home since there's no one to take attendance for it its really not a huge deal, no one really cares. I've skipped phys ed the entire quarter (and apparently my gym teacher KNOWS and just doesnt care) pretty much. I don't see what the huge deal is that people make about it. Yeah, people skip school sometimes. Oh well. Its nothing special, and if you're missing any actual CLASS your probably just going to screw yourself by not getting assignments or learning material.

I never skipped school for elementary; sick days doesn't count as skipping.

I did skip a few at junior high, but I think I only did it twice. Not sure, but I can only remember two incidents now. One because I was pissed at some teacher, and the other because I was afraid of bullying.

In Senior high I sometimes skipped my psychology class, whenever I was tired of being in school. (It was the last class on Thursdays.) I didn't take it that seriously, it was just mostly there to fill up the schedual. Though I do find psychology to be very interesting, the way the course was set up mostly bored me. Heh, some times my skipping of the class wasn't even noticed.

As for university, it has happened every now and then that I've dropped a few lectures, mostly because of me being in bed with a hangover, and once because I had an important task to finish.

We didn't even have to do that in school. They'd have a couple of TV's set up in the library.
